[Qgis-developer] Cannot access download.osgeo.org using OSGeo4w installer

If someone has already posted about this issue, please disregard this email.

I have been trying for 2 days to update the updated build version 1.8 from
my OSGeo4W installer.

The link is just not working. I cannot even re-download the Download OSGEO4W
Installer <http://download.osgeo.org/osgeo4w/osgeo4w-setup.exe> from the
QGIS.org link.

Anyone know what is wrong and when the link be back up?

http://download.osgeo.org/ is down since few days. Just use
http://download2.osgeo.org/osgeo4w/osgeo4w-setup.exe instead.

Now is back. BTW, I noticed that this dir:
http://download.osgeo.org/qgis/
is full of obsolete files, without recent stuff: why is this so?

Because the the current downloads are on qgis.org.

Because the the current downloads are on qgis.org.

So why not removing this old stuff? It could be confusing for new users.
